Allie and Zach’s wedding day at The Venue at West Creek in Batesburg was all of that — and more.


It was intimate. It was intentional. And it was freezing.


And yes… it was actually snowing the morning of their wedding. In South Carolina. If that’s not a sign of good luck, I don’t know what is.

A Snowy Winter Wedding in South Carolina


Waking up to snow on your wedding day in South Carolina is almost unheard of — but Allie and Zach did exactly that.


The soft snowfall made the entire morning feel peaceful and still. There’s something about snow that quiets everything down. It felt sacred. Calm. Almost like the world paused just for them.


Thankfully, their reception was planned inside the venue building just across the field (thank goodness because of the snow!). While their ceremony space overlooks a beautiful backdrop of trees in an open field, having that indoor reception space saved everyone from absolutely freezing all evening.

The Venue at West Creek | Intimate & Tucked Away

The Venue at West Creek is tucked back off the road in a quiet little field, giving it a private, intimate feel — exactly what Allie wanted.


The ceremony space overlooks a natural tree line, creating the perfect simple and romantic backdrop. No distractions. Just nature, vows, and the people who matter most.


The reception space sits just across the field inside a beautiful building that keeps guests warm while still feeling cozy and inviting. With around 80 of their closest family and friends gathered together, it felt like one big family celebration.

Allie & Zach | A Bride and Groom So In Love


Allie looked absolutely stunning in her flowy wedding dress. The way it moved — even in the cold — was effortless and romantic. She truly glowed.


And Zach?


He looked at her in complete awe.


Those quiet in-between moments when he thought no one was watching — those are the ones I live to capture. The way he watched her walk. The way he held her hands. The way he smiled like he couldn’t believe she was his wife.


After the ceremony, the bridal party were absolute troopers as we braved the cold for outdoor portraits. It was freezing — but they showed up with smiles and laughter anyway.


Then we moved into Allie and Zach’s bride and groom portraits. Snowy air. Winter light. A flowy dress. And two people completely in love.


Zach went right along with everything, trusting the process and soaking in every second with his bride.

A Family-Filled Celebration


One of the most beautiful parts of this wedding day was how involved their families were.


The desserts? Made by Allie’s sister, who owns a bakery — and let me just say… the best, best, best macaroons I have ever had. Truly unforgettable.


The meal? Cooked by Allie’s parents for all 80 guests.


There is something so meaningful about a wedding where family doesn’t just attend — they serve, they create, they pour into the day. You could feel the love in every detail.

A Private Last Dance


As the night came to a close, Allie and Zach shared a private last dance.


Just the two of them.


After the laughter, the celebration, the cold air, the snow, the hugs, and the full hearts — it ended quietly. Intentionally. Together.


It was the perfect way to close such a beautiful winter wedding day.
