A Romantic Engagement Session at Hopelands Gardens in Aiken, SC


There is something incredibly special about photographing a couple in a place that feels just as timeless as their love story. For Natalie and Walker’s engagement session, we spent an afternoon at Hopelands Gardens in Aiken, South Carolina, surrounded by beautiful gardens, historic charm, and plenty of quiet moments for the two of them to simply enjoy being together.


As a South Carolina wedding photographer, I love engagement sessions because they give couples the opportunity to slow down and celebrate this season of their relationship before the wedding day arrives. Located in the heart of Aiken, Hopelands Gardens is one of my favorite locations for engagement photography. The gardens offer so much variety, from lush greenery and mature trees to beautiful pathways and historic architecture.
